Creator Vivienne Medrano's audacious adult musical-comedy series, which sprang from a fan-funded pilot, fully hit its stride in its second installment. Following the climactic revelations of the first season, the story broadens considerably, following the ambitious TV demon Vox who takes control of the situation, igniting a series of ever-more dramatic conflicts that naturally culminate in elaborate musical numbers.

While it might not have a one breakout hit on the level of season one's "Loser, Baby," that's because each element in this season being more complex. The story advances the overarching plot dramatically while delivering plenty of bizarre, unhinged, and ultimately entertaining dark fantasy.

8. Daredevil: Born Again

As a successor to the legendary Netflix series, this series faced enormous shoes to fill. After well-documented production issues, the resulting show demonstrates it was worthy of the effort. The story centers on Matt Murdock after his secret identity as Daredevil is exposed, making him vulnerable to enemies from his history and new threats in a refreshed take of his familiar setting.

The premiere is explosive, capturing the intense tone fans loved from the prior series. While the middle chapters explore certain new territory, the first season concludes powerfully, leaving fans keenly awaiting a follow-up season.

A unexpected 2025 highlight, this series is essentially an animated crime saga filtered through the humor of a suburban satire. While it travels toward the legendary location of New Vegas, the season is not a straight adaptation of that title; instead, it continues to examine ideas of control and autonomy.

It skillfully juggles several narrative threads and perspectives, from the protagonist's mission for answers to a knight's struggle with the ideology of the his faction. The result is a rich layered and utterly absorbing addition to the ever-growing wasteland saga.

5. Invincible Season 3
