Manchester United Set to Secure Germany Forward Lea Schüller away from Bayern Munich
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from Bayern Munich.
A Major Signing for United
The forward, with six months remaining on her contract, is known as a prolific goalscorer for her club and the national team. She has netted over 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a major coup for the WSL side.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated since she was seen holding back emotions while thanking the club's fans following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top forwards. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the transfer are now finalised.
Reliable Goalscoring to Boost the Forward Line
The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a significant uplift to United’s attacking options. Schüller has been highly consistent in front of goal in Germany’s top flight.
- Over seven consecutive seasons, up to and including the last term, she reached at least a double-digit tally of league goals.
- She claimed the top scorer award in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

The acquisition of Schüller’s signature comes at a time when United seem to be gathering positive momentum.
